 HCF has conducted Assessment Camp for Disabled under Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) 29th January 05 at Dasghara (Indrapuri). During the programme 100 disabled children with their parents participated for assessment and counseling by the experts like speech therapists, physio-therapists. Special educators tried to help these children to overcome their problems and to provide them with the information how to become independent through various vocational training programmes.
Mostly assessed disabled got their required assistive devices like calipers, wheel chairs, crutches, hearing aid etc.
An orientation workshop regarding disability was conducted on 6th August, 2005 at Chetna, New Delhi,on 20th August at Ankur, New Delhi and on 10th September 2005 at St. Paul School, New Delhi to empower its staff on disability issues.
A drawing competition for school children on disability issue was organised At Nuh, Mewat, Haryana on 3rd September under CBR Project, in which more than 100 school children participated.
